Carpet/Flooring Sales Advisor
Do you have face-to-face carpet and flooring sales experience?
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an additional member of our experienced sales team. This role will be at our Derby store, with the need to provide occasional cover in other stores.

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Advisor to join our team in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales within our retail environment.

Due to the nature of the business, the role includes working on a Saturday or Sunday, 37.5 Hours per week.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £22,500.00-£25,500.00 per year plus commission and bonuses.

This role involves the following:
- Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone to help them purchase the right products/services to meet their needs.
- Carrying out home visits to take precise measurements and provide a home consultation service.
- Sharing product knowledge and advising customers.
- Providing customers with estimates/
- Responding to email/social media enquiries.
- Updating customer details using a CRM software system.
- Ensuring the store is kept presentable and tidy.
- Supporting colleagues within the store.
To be successful, the following qualities are required:
- Strong communication skills.
- Good understanding of arithmetic.
- Experience working in the carpet/flooring industry.
- Face-to-face sales experience.
- Basic knowledge of cutting/laying carpets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent level of customer service.
- Smart appearance.
- Have confidence when dealing with customers.
- Have a UK Driving license.
- Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.

Carpet Fitter
Our stores are getting busier, and to help provide the best customer service, we need more experienced domestic carpet fitters to join our well-established team.
Job Overview:
The role centres around ensuring customers receive the best service possible by prioritising their needs. You must be highly motivated, approachable, and able to build rapport with customers.
You will be based in Derby, where you will be required to collect stock daily and travel to work in the Midlands.
For this role, you will work five days a week with other team members in
a good, friendly atmosphere. We offer this role as a permanent or sub-contractor role for the right candidate.
This job will require daily attendance at the warehouse in Derby. Please ensure you can commute.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Manual lifting, including the lifting of heavy items.
- Measuring, cutting, and rolling carpets and floorcoverings at the warehouse.
- Reading the floorplans provided.
- Complete any necessary floor preparation.
- Working independently or as part of a fitting team to lay underlay, carpet, vinyl or LVT.
- Maintaining safe working practices.
- Responsible for sensibly driving company vehicles.
- Undertaking deliveries from the warehouse.
- Compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Ensuring you are presentable, polite and tidy.
- Time record keeping.
- Complying with GDPR for customer data.
To be successful in this Carpet Fitter role, you need to have the following skills:
- At least two years previous experience within the last five years as a Carpet Fitter/Floor layer role.
- Good practical skills, including domestic carpets, vinyl, LVT and floor preparation.
- Excellent Attention to detail.
- To be physically fit enough to carry heavy carpet rolls.
- A polite and pleasant manner for dealing with customers.
- The ability to work quickly and accurately.
- To be aware of health and safety issues.
- Good numeracy skills in working out measurements.
